Kimberly Manges, BSN, RN, SCRN

Born and raised in Wisconsin, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The Pennsylvania State University in 2014. As a spouse of a U.S. Marine, she has had the opportunity to travel the world. While in Japan, she devoted her time to the American Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces (ARC SAF). She received the American Red Cross Far East Division Volunteer of the Quarter award in 2016 and The President’s Volunteer Service Awards (PVSAs), to include the Bronze, Silver, and Gold awards. In addition, she received numerous certificates and letters of appreciation for her contributions, including a Letter of Appreciation from The White House for her commitment to supporting military service members and their families.

She is currently pursuing both a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) track and a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty in Nursing Education at the University of Arkansas. She has been inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau – Pi Theta Chapter, the Golden Key International Honour Society, and the Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society. She also holds certification as a Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) from the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses (AANN).

Her research interests include neuropsychiatric conditions, military and veteran’s health, and healthcare disparities.

She also has a passion for teaching and she has three years of experience as an instructor at a military training facility. Following graduation, she hopes to return to Active Duty in the U.S. Air Force.
